I've actually heard the bosches aren't all that sweet either, at least the one with the Drag Gen2 kits. SX and Paxton make some massive pumps. I use a Pierberg (Porsche) pump myself, it's good to 600hp and I can barely hear it at idle with the radio off.

The Paxton pump ain't all that good either. We had two fail during my dyno testing. The "cool" street racers up in motown say the same thing.

Yeah, when you start getting up into triple digit fuel pressure, it's really just time to get bigger injectors. Injectors don't really work that well under such extreme conditions.

Hey, I have injectors 30 cc/min shy of being twice as large as stock (550 vs 290) and my car idles fine with the right gizmos hooked up smile

    Heretic,
Bt "right gizmos," do you mean the AFC you have. I checked out your website and that's the only thing you have. Does the AFC control fuel delivery at idle? Thinking of getting one myself...

OK, I am not sure what the requirements are for your DRAG 3 Turbo kit, so I cannot comment on whether or not a Holley/Walbro (Holley buys them from Walbro -- I have boxes from BOTH companies with the same product inside). If the fuel pressures get really high, then this pump may not deliver the right about of volume. Beaver is TOTALLY off on his assesment... Here is a comparison between the Walbro GSS-317 (Jackson Racing 255 lph) and the GSS-342 high pressure 255 lph pumps:

    Pres. flow(317) flow (342)
    40 psi........214 lph.....220 lph
    50............198.........207
    60............172.........194
    70............126.........181
    80.............55.........165
    90..............0.........139
    100...........(--)........113
    110...........(--).........71
    120...........(--).........18

This data is from the Walbro Tech office.

    Good luck.

JR, from looking at that chart, I was wondering - when is the fuel pressure going to be past 90 psi? In other words, when would it be a good idea to invest more into the fuel system? (ie. injectors, management system)
